Sunflowers of many colors

 I planted these 2 weeks before my knee surgery.

I wanted something to look forward to in the garden.

 We went to our daughters for supper last week and

surprise she had the same ones.

We think alike.

These will make it into some art quilts.

The colors are fall colors. my fav.

Have a peaceful weekend and enjoy life.

Finally something new

 Finally got into the studio and made something new.

I took a Jane Dunnewold class this spring and these

are some of the fabrics from the class.

 They are small 6x8 and 8x8 minis,

 I love the colors but I think they need something more.

But at least I broke the ice and will soon be in the groove.

Best of Show

Yesterday was the opening of the 71st annual Salon

Show  hosted by South Shore Arts in Munster, Indiana.

I was honored to receive the Best of Show award.

When I started in Fine arts in 2009 one of my goals

was to get into this show. Now to win the top award.

I am proud and thankful.
