Summer

Here I am back again with some flower photos.
That is my life flowers, trees, fabric, quilting, and family.
Not a bad combination.
We have visitors from Minnesota this week end.
Nice to see them again.
I have signed up for a quilting retreat.
Maybe I will get myself back in the quilting mood.

Close up and personal

Just a close up view of some of my favorite flowers,
The garden is in full bloom right now.
 Flowers look amazing close up.
Just love the spots on the Tiger lily.

Life is good ar Cedar Ridge Studio

The windows are open and the cool breezes are
flowing through the house. This is my kind of
weather. The quail are calling each other out
in the yard, Life is good.
I am going to do a abstract quilt Wednesday.
Something rusty and organic.
I need to step up to the plate and be more creative.
It is so easy to get wrapped up in the piecing
and forget design and color. Now that I have plans for
tomorrow it is time to rest for the night.

Summer time

My flower gardens are in overdrive.
The are bursting with blooms. The sun is shinning.
The weather is so nice. I am going to veg out today
spending it in my studio. I follow Lynn's blog and
all her reorganizing has got me going too. I have
been gradually sorting as time permits and am
getting more organized.
I ordered a new silk screen from Sherrill Kahn
and am disappointed that blue painter tape is
used to secure it. Just a few uses will have that
tape falling off and I will have to replace it
with duck tape. Well have yourself a quiet Sunday.

Invasion of the Rudabeckia.

I think the black eye susans have taken over.
I need to eliminate half of these next spring.
I just saw the next 3 months forecast.
Hot August, cold September and a hot October.
I am almost to the point of wanting to escape somewhere cold.
I think I will abandon the huge painting.
It just does not cut it.
I need to get back to the fabric end of the studio.
I will be much happier.
Glad to have that out of the way.
We have to finish putting sweet corn in the freezer
today so I will be back in the sewing studio Wednesday.
Whew a big relief.
