Katie PM

I took a class with Katie Pasquini in Grand Rapids
Michigan at the AQS show a couple of years
ago. If you ever get an opportunity to take
her classes do so. She is a fun and informative
teacher. We painted canvas than cut it into
pieces and sewed it back together. Sometimes
we cut it again the re sewed it.
These two quilts are a result of the class.
Painting stamping, cutting and adding more fabric
was a new way to make a quilt or a collage.
FUN.

Ah Spring.

I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR
Sunny skies, flowers coming out of the ground.
The air smells so fresh.
I am looking forward to fresh asparagus from the
garden. Bill is working on the new green house.
He hopes to have tomatoes later into the fall
plus keep the critters from eating the green beans.
The wood ducks have arrived and are looking for
nesting sites and the morning mist on the pond
when the mornings are cooler.
It is so good to live in the country.

Bright quilts for a rainy day.

It is a rainy spring day here,
Just the thing to green up the grass.
I am participating in one of those 7 days 7 quilt.
It is fun to look back to some little bright spots.
It was fun making these last spring.
Photos from my yard combined with Fassett fabric.
I try not to go in the studio on Sunday.
I find a day of rest is good for the soul.
I am excited for this year.
I have some great ideas.
I may even part with a few larger art quilts.
Must show them to the gallery and see if they want them.
Yesterday  little Owen spent the afternoon with me.
It is so interesting to look at he world through a 4 year
old eyes. Such intelligent questions.
