March 13 to April 5th Water birds-birds

Just can't get enough of the Sandhill Cranes.

They strut around and fly overhead.

Some geese swimming in my pond

I just realized that Barnes is closed.

I cannot get my magazine.

Windmills another favorite of mine.

Then there are the Turkeys.

They gobble in the woods. 

My friend Claudia took this one in her yard. 

I ramble on.

This is how you get after 3 weeks in the house.

Excitement on Monday

Landscaping crew coming .

I have orders to stay inside.

Its time to watch the winter birds.

 I love the birds in the winter.

We have a feeder that we can watch from the

sun room and the kitchen window.

 We know when a storm is approaching because

they feed like crazy. Stuffing in as much as they

can before the storm hits.

We get lots of tufted titmouse's and chickadees

but usually only see one Virginia sparrow.

Keep a look out for the winter birds.

Feed them if you can.

For the birds

 Spent some time cleaning out the bird feeder this

morning and refilled everything. It is nice so see the

winter birds back.

 Even the sparrows .

Today is the FibR meeting in Lafayette,

I will go early to shop than have supper with

Brad and Brent at the Red7.

It will be nice to have some conversations with

them again . I am making collagesdChristmas

cards of our Summer vacation  for a surprise

this year. It was fun this morning to look through

the photos and remember the fun we had in June.

I think this will be a good memento for all.

I have to make 16 of them.

Well I had better finished picking up the house.

Yesterday I had the bedroom carpets cleaned

and they look really good I think I will pass

on replacing the carpet. We should get a few

more years on them.

Carrolina Wren

 I only see this little fellow in the winter,

it is a Carolina Wren.  I keep my feeders full

this time of the year. The birds need food and energy.

They are such a pleasure to watch.

April and I had a good time dyeing fabric.

I will take a photo this afternoon to show you

our new colors. She wanted to learn how to make

more deep colors. I had gotten some new colors as well

so we worked together Friday to dye some

old bedsheets. She does the Binky patrol and makes

quilts for children. A local hotel gives them the

old sheets for backing when they replace theirs.

They make perfect pieces to dye.

Yesterday it took me all afternoon to pull the

threads on a stitched piece I dyed.

Saturday morning I made lunch for the construction

crew. Bacon and egg sandwiches  plus honemade

chicken noodle soup, brownies and chocolate milk.

My grandsons were waiting for my car when

I brought lunch to the site. Everyone is helping

my son build their dream home.

Quite an undertaking.
