4x6 card quilts for Christmas Shows

 Well I did get into the studio for a couple of hours.

I started some 4x6 art quilts that will go into

greeting cards. I usually cannot keep up with the

 demand for these. During the year I use them myself

for Birthdays and Anniversaries,

 I am liking the ones with purple in the background.

Looks like distant mountains.

As I looked at them I think I need to make this into

a 12 by 36 art quilt too the panorama is nice.

Maybe a larger on for my friend Dana.

I must get hers done it was on my list for this week.

Than I fell and got sidetracked.

 Today I will add the stitching and will have 20 small

quilts for the Holiday shows by the days end.

Time to get it in gear.

Time is a wasting.

Send a little art in a card.

I spent the last 3 days making 45 art quilt cards.

Now I have to finish embellishing them with beads.

Put a label on the back, sign them and

slip them in their clear bags.

10 of them go to Lala's in Lafayette, Indiana.

The rest are for a quilt design symposium I

am going to at the end of May.

I hope they will appeal to other artist.

Easter is at my house so I need to

step away from the machine and work on the house.

In a weak moment I ordered 50 strawberry plants

I need to get them in the ground.

What was I thinking the birds will probably eat them all.

First of the Holiday Shows

 Monday Andy  my grandson and I set up

my display for the Holiday Show at the

Carneige for Friday and Saturday.

I feature small art quilts made from

my photographs printed on fabric

than thread painted and either framed,

matted or made into greeting cards.

Today I will get back into the studio

to prepare for my first week end

show in the studio the 19th of November.

 If you live in the area the Holiday Show is

Friday the 11th 6 - 9 pm

and Saturday the 12th 8:30 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Finally found some energy to go to the Studio.

These will be nice matted for the Christmas

open house Thanksgiving week-end.

           You would think I had enough of Christmas but my daughter
           and I went in search of next years Christmas presents at 75%  off.
           When you do 30 stockings you can never start too early.

For my Christmas Open House I have done a series of original one of a kind greeting cards.Each one is unique.
