Studio is clean. Now to create for another year.

The view out my clean studio window.
Now  I can start creating  new quilts for 2016.
As I was cleaning I kept getting new ideas.
It was hard not to stop and start in.
Experience has shown me I work better once it
is CLEAN.
These two quilts are going on a trip.
The birds are flying to Bloomington for the
Indiana Heritage Show.
The vines are going to Lafayette.
My beautiful wooded Cedar Ridge  in winter.
On cold mornings it is so nice to snuggle in the
cozy blankets. Always a beautiful place to live,

Studio clean up

Sorry I took a couple of days off.
The steroids shots to my knees made me feel bad
for 3 days. I sketched out an idea for a new quilt
My neighbors wood pile behind the fence. I
will be expanding this for a SAQA entry.
Remember the fabric I thought I did not have
any more. Well I cleaned the studio and found
another yard. I am putting the big quilt to the
side for 3 weeks while I get some deadlines met.
So today I decided to clean up a bit before
starting a new project. Happy surprise.
This is where I am now.
I will go back to it later.
I  have until the end of October to finish it.
Meanwhile I want to enter some of the International
Quilt  Show categories and also one for SAQA.
Well now with a clean studio I can think again.
Amazing how it gets to a point of being too messy.

There is still some fall color

When I opened the garage door I got a lovely
view of two of my favorite trees. Still glowing
with color. Just got to love those maples.
Looking out the back the koi pond still has a
pleasant faded color around it. The gold fish
positively glowed in the cold water.
Yesterday my helper Beverly and I gave the Studio
a good clean up. Vacuum and dusted everything.
Such a good feeling because we only do this maybe
once a year. Now I am set for the winter. I am looking
forward to after Christmas when I can go to the Studio
for 4 months and create away. Beverly has been with
me for over 30 years. She is the reason I could have
a career and a clean house at the same time.
If you work you know how hard it is to keep up
the home  front. I loved coming home from those 10
days to cleanliness and order. I had another person
at the office that kept that organized. Jan would
keep the business part of my life on track.
Sometimes you think back  of people that were
in your life and think of them with great fondness.
Life is good and getting better with age.
