Sand Hill Cranes

My friend Claudia Pletting is a awesome photographer.
She captured all these photos of the annual migration
of the sand hill cranes.
Over 20,000  pass through in the fall.

The sound of them passing is part of the music of fall.

I think Robby is my only follower so this might
be my last post. Thinking about ending my blog.

November

I am glad October is over.
Had a nose surgery to give me better
breathing space so my Bi-pap works.
I go to Carmel on Thursday for my post
opp check.

I am in love with these colors.
These are some of my favs from recent shows.
Maybe a new series of earth colors in winter.

Bird patters in flight might be just the thing
for this series.
Love what I find on line.

Sorry it takes so long for me to post.
Life is just too busy,
Friend me on Face Book if you need more.

Watching the Humming Birds

We love our   birds here at Cedar Ridge.
Great entertainment. Watching nesting,
hatching and learning to fly.
Bees, flowers and watching the deer.
Sitting on the deck and watching the sun set.
Watching the birds hurry to their night roost.

I love   all the seasons of the year except July and August.
Watching the season wind down towards fall
I anticipate  winter. my favorite of all.
When I can hibernate in the Studio and make ART.
I have been sprucing up the house outside and in.
Scrubbing, weeding and having things painted,
Light fixtures outside cleaned.
Just need to get some new mulch spread on garden
areas I have changed or eliminated.

But first.
Thanksgiving and Christmas,
Than Studio time.

FINALLY Spring

The birds are building nest.

We had the first day of spring this week.

Daffodils are popping out of the ground.

Time to put away the books.
Quit reading in the corner
and get outside.
Yesterday the yarn clean-up was finished.
Happy.
