Progress

Now it is time for the leaves.
Getting closer to the finish line.
I love the colors this quilt is producing.
The fabrics seem to glow.
I worked hard yesterday and should be able to finish
this today. Looking toward Lake Michigan in the
fall. Almost calls for the Chicago Skyline.
I found another use for my template holder.
Holding small art works so I can enjoy them
while I work. Love Diane Dornan"s bird.
Now I just need to add some highlights
and it will be done.
Have a Happy 4th of July.

Gate to the beach

I got a lot done yesterday.
Not happy with all of it though.
The fence and the wood walkway need to be lighter.
I will have to pull out the paints this morning.
It helped to start at 7:30 I am making headway.
Only need to finish 3 of these and paint 4 paintings.
I like the bushes they look realistic.
Now to paint it and add leaves and the foreground.
While I am off to the studio. Have a great day.

Love the purple

The clematis have bloomed very well this year.
I love the purple one.
I thought it was a goner because it was broke
off at ground level. Come back. Happy.
Yesterday the landscaping guys came and sprayed
for weeds. They had gotten away from me.
I got 3 larger quilts backgrounds blocked in
and quilted the sky and water part. Today I will
so the fore ground than I can star adding the
fun stuff. Grasses and chairs.
I am starting earlier and working later to
hopefully get done. Will take some photos today.
Well I am off to the studio at 7:30.

Sunny day.

Sunday at church someone asked me if I quit taking
photos. OOPS! I did not know anyone noticed that
I have been absent.
Since January 2 diverticulitis infections, an infected cyst
on my back, a bad tooth pulled  and 3 pain shots.
So when I am MIA you know what is going on.
SO I am going to get back on track.
I have cleaned the studio and sorted all the fused
fabrics by color , put in new storage racks for
thread all the while making art quilts.
I have 5 weeks until my solo show and am
finally making headway.
I feel SO much better too.
Pray that it last the rest of the year.
Now off to the studio to start another art quilt.
This one with red chairs.

Flower Garden

With all the rain we have been getting the gardens
are very colorful. I have been busy at work making
art for my solo show in 5 weeks.
Today I have to take time out for the dentist and a
spine shot. Such fun.
Then tomorrow back to creating art
I think I may just make the deadlines.
Well off to the dentist.
