Purple Trumpets of Glory

My morning Glory quilt is accepted into the
Marie Webster show in Indianapolis.
It will hang in the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
I was happy to get the notification today.
I am looking forward to seeing how every one
interpreted her quilts. It is always interesting to
see the creativity of other artist.
Below is my inspiration for the quilt.
These Morning Glories come back each summer
in my gardens. I love the purple color.

A little touch of purple

I love the fading flowers of fall.
Each morning when I awake I look out into
my gardens and find inspiration.
I am blessed to live in such a beautiful place.
Yesterday we went to Shipshewana for a concert
and dinner for my 71st birthday.
Perfect way to celebrate.
Great music and great food.
It has been a busy week.
I am working hard on my Quilt National entry.
Hope to finish up be Wednesday.
Than to finish art needed for my show opening
the end of October. Life is good.
Interesting and varied.
Have a great week-end.

Morning glory.

Look what greeted me this morning.
A stowaway seed come in with the house plants
this past fall and grew up the amaryllis.
The amaryllis did not bloom but the morning glory did.
What a cheery sight.
Mailed the FotoFiber bonus packs
and sent the Yellow Barns off too.
Than after lunch I sat in the recliner and
woke up 2 hours later.
Must have needed a nap.
I am going to go in a different direction with the sky quilt.
I think the black is too stark.
needs softer colors and just a branch or two.
Not whole trees.
Well have a great week-end.
