Berry time

Our dogwood tree by the sun room is loaded with fruit.
Next spring there will be dozens of new baby trees.
This is the birds favorite tree.
So many perches and great cover to hide in.
This crab apple tree at the corner of Hickory and 9th
street is going overboard this year.
Than my favorite color.
The red of sumac.
I love the sunny days that make the colors look
bright and lovely.
Looking forward to a quiet weekend.
Just Bill and I.

Trees

 -Its that time again.
Cold nights and warm sunny days.
Took a ride to Michigan yesterday.
It was misty and cold but still nice.
Lake Michigan was boisterous.
The trees are starting to turn.
We had a great lunch at Swingbellies in Michigan City.
Got some apples in New Buffalo and
artisan bread in Chesterton.
Last stop was Beef Mart in Valparaiso for
some great meats and sausages.
I was tired but in a good way.
It is good to take time for friends.
We had a nice supper of cheese, sausage and breads.
Now for a quiet weekend at home.
Mainly because my front tire is flat.
It will be fixed Monday.
Have yourself a nice peaceful week end.

More art quilts for Saturday

I finished two more mini quilts.
These will make good gifts for someone.
I decorated half the house for Christmas too.
I am in the mood.
Thursday Nancy from Michigan will come to do
a play date. We tried 7 weeks ago but I took a
nose dive on the drive way and was not in any shape
to play 7 weeks ago.
Saturday will be 8 weeks and I still have some
bruising. I will make another small landscape
quilt tomorrow. Than Friday I will finish decorating
for Christmas and put price tags on my art.
I made a batch of pie crust cookies for lunch.
I will make grilled turkey and ham sandwiches
on rye for lunch. I like to use provolone cheese
and put grilled onions on mine. Yum.
The weather is supppose to turn cold and
stay that way for the next 10 days.
Winter is here.
