I am glad October is over.

Had a nose surgery to give me better

breathing space so my Bi-pap works.

I go to Carmel on Thursday for my post

opp check.

I am in love with these colors.

These are some of my favs from recent shows.

Maybe a new series of earth colors in winter.

Bird patters in flight might be just the thing

for this series.

Love what I find on line.

Did you notice we were gone.

We went to Shipshewanna  to attend 2 southern

gospel concerts.

Friday the ISSAC'S

Both were awesome.

We arrived home refreshed in the spirit.

Plus the car was filled with fabric, more fabric

and food.

Fresh suet for the birds, breads for the freezer,

A case of Yoder canned peaches.

Sausages from Yoder meats.

A winter worth of treats.

Did I say seeing lots of quilts.

Shipsee is the mecca for quilters. 

Quilts

I like these quilts I found on facebook.

I just want to make mindless blocks

and combine them into quilts.

2014 Goal

Yesterday I picked out fabrics for some family quilts to

make for Christmas gifts next year.

I thought it would be a wise idea to have them

speak for a color combination before I start

taking the time to make them.

I already have the 2 strip quilt tops done.

So I will need 8 more.

I am moving the spare machine up to my

bedroom so I can work on them in the evenings.

Television is boring anyway.

It takes about 10 to 12 hours to make a top.

So it should be doable to have then done by

the middle of the year giving plenty of

time to have them quilted.

This is one of my goals for 2014.

Memories of my Dad.

 Found this little quilt today while cleaning a drawer

in the studio. It feels good to clean.

My Dad Loved fishing.

February was always a month he spent in Costa Rica.

He fished in Canada, Minnesota, the gulf of Mexico,

the Keys, the Florida gulf.

That man loved his fishing, food and traveling.

March will be 10 years since he passed to

at the age of 85 to the best fishing place of all.
