Sunflowers in December

 Back to the studio today.
My friend wants a sunflower quilt for a
Christmas Present.
I dyed fabric Monday and made the pattern
yesterday. Now to make the quilt by Saturday.
On such a cold day I get to submerse myself in
warm yellow fabric and create.

Summers end

 Finally some cool weather.
This summer was hot.
I have been busy canning tomatoes.
55 quarts of juice, 10 quarts of stewed tomatoes.
9 pints of summer salsa and 6 pints of stewed tomatoes.
All seedless and salt free.

Don't you love this sweetie she read 1000 books this summer.
I love her clothes so colorful.
Maybe she will be an artist when she grows up.
The show at the Indiana Museum of Art ends Sunday.
Next the morning quilt will travel to Artist Own
in Lafayette, Indiana for another month.
Next summer probably to the Quilt Museum.
Sorry it has been so far between post.
Taking seeds out of tomatoes is tedious.

I have been missing in action.

I feel bad I haven't been blogging very faithfully.
My life is just so chaotic.
I am going to miss some big deadlines.
I have been in a art brain fog since we lost Mark.
Now that the fog is lifting we seem to be busier
than ever. The gardens are blooming .
I am enjoying the colors so much.
I am thinking of abandoning the blog and just focusing
on FaceBook.
What so you think.

Sunflowers on the brain

I have not been to loyal with my blog.
I have been too too busy.
I am getting ready to take off to Columbus, Ohio
to attend the QSDS 2015.
I will spend 5 days with Rosalie Dace.
Do you have a clue I will be doing sunflowers?
I have ironed 59 yards of 805 fusible to fabric,
made the 89 x 60 background for the sunflower
flower garden quilt I am going to be working on.
I changed out the art at the Farmhouse Restaurant
and returned Irene's art to her.
Our dishwasher broke so we had to make a trip
to Lowe's to order a new one.
I need to bring my entries for a show that starts
next week to Chesterton plus I need to  pack yet.
I will try and post a few times but I will take photos.
Now for some much needed sleep.

Oops got busy

I don't know about you but I am missing color.
Missing warm weather and flowers.
It helps to go back in the computer and look at old
photos and think about flowers.
It will be here in 3 months. TOO LONG.
Well since I was last here I brought  both bed quilts
to Shipshewanna to be quilted.
My friend Claudia was nice enough to drive me there.
I have sleep apnea and cannot drive without
getting sleepy. We had fun shopping and having
lunch at the Blue Gate. That food is so good.
This week I will finish the flowers quilts for the
FibR show than start on the chair show quilts.
That is between 3 doctor appointments.
Have a great week.

Still no progress

Still haven't found that energy I was looking for.
I really miss my studio.
Maybe Friday.
Thursday Barb Lucas is coming over to finalize
our plans for our show opening October 31st.
It will be here before we know it.
The weather seems more like fall.
My gardens are still beautiful.
Lots of yellow.
Taking it one day at a time.
