AQS 2016 calender

I got my copy of the 2016 AQS calendar.
My quilt Wolf River is in the calendar for
August/September.
That is one handsome quilt.
Today my grandson Hunter is helping me change out the art
at the Farmhouse Restaurant.
I need his muscles to do the lifting.
It is a beautiful morning,
Sunshine.
Winter was too too long.
I made the mistake of going to Rossville Quilt shop
Thursday before the FibR meeting.
Another 50 yards came home with me.
I will never live long enough to use this all up.
Oh well.
Such is the life of a quilter.

Continuation of Wolf River.

Well Tuesday I spent 5 hours thread stitching tree trunks
and branches. Today I will thread stitch the foliage
on the trees and bushes. Than I can add the water
to the bottom of the quilt. I am already bored
and ready to move on to a new idea.
But the house rules are FINISH what you started.
Than you can do another.
I think this one will consume the rest of my week.
My mind is already on logs and pieces of wood.
All beige, black, grey and ochre.
Well it is 3 in the morning and I must try and
get some sleep. Some nights I wake up at 1 or 2
and cannot go back to sleep the mind just
starts turning and I am wide awake.
Maybe a cup of hot tea will work.
Have a great day you all.

Wolf River Quilt

I forgot how big this one was.
Probably 44 x 65. I started with adding more
tree trunks than started to apply foliage
to the top and the reflection. Something is
not quite right. I will figure it out.
It will have to wait until Friday,
I have a doc appointment and shopping today.
Our 12 year old microwave is doing
strange things. Time for a new one.
The frig needs restocking with fresh fruits
and veggies. I also want to make a stop at
Big Lot's they have irons for $15. Never
have enough irons. Fusing is hard on them.
Plus it is a good place for glue.
Have a great day.
I will - than I will be exhausted shopping
does that to me.
