March 13 to April 5th Water birds-birds

Just can't get enough of the Sandhill Cranes.

They strut around and fly overhead.

Some geese swimming in my pond

I just realized that Barnes is closed.
I cannot get my magazine.

Windmills another favorite of mine.
Then there are the Turkeys.
They gobble in the woods.
My friend Claudia took this one in her yard.
I ramble on.
This is how you get after 3 weeks in the house.
Excitement on Monday
Landscaping crew coming .
I have orders to stay inside.

Close ups

Thought I would show you some close ups of the
quilts I have worked on this winter. Sometimes
closer up is just as interesting as the whole.
Vines and berries. Pine trees and sky.
 Hills and catalpa trees.
 The bright red of sumac.
A duck reflected in the water.
Life is just a bunch of close ups.

Progress on the big one.

I  was busy today working on the quilt.
I have the background stitched on the
other 4 side panels and will start to add the
trees. Than to build some herons and
other birds. I am having trouble keeping my
focus. I am the type of person that has
a short attention span. I am anxious to
move on to something else but I know
that is not going to be possible for 2 more
months. Patience. I do not have any.

Yesterdays work

I finished up two 8x10  water scene art quilts.
Fun and easy to do. I love transferring photos to
fabric and than adding to it my special touches.
Today I will do another red chair art quilt. I
started it yesterday. This morning I made use of
Amazon Prime to finish my Christmas shopping
for 2 of my great grandchildren I bought them
art supplies. Must keep the artists going in our family.
It is amazing how the genes follow the family.
My mother to me, me to my daughter and grand
daughter,  my daughter to her grand daughter
my great grand daughter. Each generation seems to
get better. That is why I gift them with art supplies.
Well I am off to the studio for 2 hours than a busy day.
