Tuesday morning.

My grandson limbed up the cedar tree so now I have
a shady place to wash out hand dyes and do discharge.
It is just out the garage door and near a garden hose.
I love the gnarled trunk of the tree.
Thank goodness for grand kids.
It is a beautiful day here at Cedar Ridge Studio.
I spent an hour walking about enjoying the cool morning.
Someone asked how I could do the landscape quilt in
6 hours. Fusing- goes so fast.
It still needs to be stitched and
lined which I will do this morning.
Today is a day of finishing the quilts from QSDS

Studio time.

I started my planning for Under Indiana Skies.
These colors are luscious.
The subject of my first art quilt will be
this sunrise photograph taken out my kitchen window.
The second  quilt will be the sunset  photograph
taken out on the deck looking west.
I started today by choosing my fabrics for the quilts.
I need some good blues yet I will pick those up this week.
Looking forward to creating something beautiful.
Back to the studio in the morning.

My Blog Hop gift.

After a 3 hour marathon of baking 3 batches of cookies
2 pumpkin cheesecakes and a batch of Bouquet.
Bouquet is a Dutch puff pastry filled with almond.
I was beat, than the mail showed up and
brighten my day.
My gift from the Blog Hop.
The colors look even better in real life.
I see tree trunks, water and a sunset.
Even the bows will be used in a art quilt.
Frieda Anderson of Friestyle was very generous.
Thank you Frieda.
