A productive week.

I have 14 small quilts done and another 11 blocked in.
This small flower quilt looks as good from the
back as the front. I love all the colors of spring.
Once I complete the 25 smalls I will start the
large ones that will ground the show.
I also made 3 sets of throw pillows for my chairs.
I am glad I take photos of my flower gardens and
the birds to give me points of interest for my quilts.
The quilt with the red chairs will get a lot of hand
embroidery with multi-colored flowers.
I am finding that I cannot do it at night anymore.
The lights are just not bright enough.
Everyone have a great week end,

Kaffe tote

I was thinking back to when I made this tote
for Virginia Spiegel's fund raiser last year.
I love  Kaffe Fasset fabrics;
The are bright and cheerful.
When I am done with the big quilt I must
play with his fabrics again.
Today was massage day and shopping
day. I filled the car. I needed something
to put my ironing board on and found 2 nice
sturdy plastic 4 drawer chest at Walmart.
They alone filled the back space of the car.
Found some bright shorts and shirts for
my great grandson. He will be 2 next month.
Than I bought 2 large tubs to fill with fiber
for the local collage art department. I am
cleaning a 8 by 11 ft closet and I am determined
to make it emptier. It is always fun to see
what those bright young people do with fiber.

The messenger bag

I love all the colorful fabric that Fassett uses.
I am working on the messenger bag that along with
the book of Fassett's autobiography I will donate to the
Year of Art. the American Cancer Society fund
raiser that Virginia Spiegel is sponsoring.
I almost like the lining better than the outside.
This is fun working with such great fabrics.
I changed the pattern to put the pockets on the
inside instead of outside. Less chance of things
falling out. So far there are 5 pockets on the
inside and 2 pockets on the outside. A
gal can never have enough places to put things.
I just may have to make myself one of these.
