New toy

I found this old mangle on Craig's list the week before my
surgery and the owner was kind enough to deliver it.
I had my son in law put a new heavy duty cord on it.
I tried it out today.
I works like a dream.
Now to iron the other 77 pieces of fabric for my
Nancy Crow workshop before the end of November,
I am getting excited about going.
Especially since the knee Doc gave both of
my knees a shot of cortisone Tuesday.
Finally after 5 months the pain is gone.
If you are in NW Indiana Saturday I have
a table of decorating, quilting, cook and knitting books
for sale for $3 to $5.
E-mail me for directions.

A day of ART

Missed out on blogging yesterday.
Sorry my sister gave me the Hunger Games books.
I sunk into the recliner and just now came up for air.
I am almost finished with book 2.
Today was the opening of the
Chesterton's Women's Club's annual show.
I got a third place ribbon and a check.
Now whether to spend it on fabric or paint.
I think I will interpret this small painting into a quilt.
It is called spring.
I had entered a larger painting and this small painting,
I thought the larger one would get a prize.
Not.
You never know.

Sunny Monday

Yesterday was a beautiful sunny winter day.
For some crazy reason I decided to move the
furniture in my bedroom and spent the whole day cleaning it.
What a mess.
I will finish it today.
Husband had to fix the bookcase I tried to move filled.
Book are heavy.
Found about 12 I need to read.
So it was a good thing

Sunday sunrise over the pond.

Such a beautiful start to the day, I saw that
the rain was starting to move in so I rushed
to get some photos before the clouds moved
in to obscure the sun. Enjoy a day of peace.
Rainy days are great for curling up on the sofa.
Listen to some music and read a good book.

I love trees especially in the winter when I can see all the branches against the sky. I am so fortunate to live in the woods both pine, oak and maple. It is a show all year long. Busy getting ready for the Christmas open house. Lots more ideas to create. I have brought some of my art to Must Love Books in DeMotte to sell for the Holiday's. She has lovely things. stop in for a look.
