Looking back and learning.

As I prepare to walk around the corner of 2017
I just have 1/3 of the studio to clean.
Hopefully I will finish today.
Its been an eye opener to see the art I made 10 years ago
How much I have learned  from all the other artists.
Thanks Doris, Bonnie, Katie, Lyric, Jane, Anita, Susie
Kate, Barbara, and so many more.
Keeping good company is worth it.
Its remind me what worked and what I can expand on.
Looking at the 27,000 photos showed me some horrible
starts. Some really nice pieces.
Reminded me of who has my favorites.

 The heron painting I kept.
I really need to do more with silk.
Like the birds nest.
Here's to a new year.

Studio Tour

Thought I would show you my studio when it is
reasonably clean. I have a very large workspace.
I am really fortunate. 3 ironing spaces, 3 cutting spaces
and 2 design walls. This is just some of my fabric.
I have another shelf unit in the bedroom and a
8 x 11 walk in closet for fabric and supplies.
My inspiration wall is full of ideas.
I keep the things I use most of all around me.
I can reach the beads, small pieces of fabric, threads,
bolts of 805, peltex and thermalon within reach
of my chair. I would say I am very lucky to
have such a sunny and large space.
All the more room to get messy.
Today is a luncheon with other artist.
We will go to Asparagus a Vietnamese restaurant.
I will take Doris my 91 year old friend with me.
She will talk my leg off we have not been
together for a few weeks. She has been too
busy to have time for me.  :)
Have yourself a great day.

Just a little snow.

Finally looking a little like Christmas.
My grand daughter said we needed snow  for Christmas.
She got her wish.
Jenna will help me get the last minute things
done for Christmas Monday. Set the tables.
Find a enough chairs and silver ware.
It will be nice to spend some one on one time.
I love Christmas I love sharing with others.
We are blessed with so much.
My thoughts go  out to the families that
were touched by the tragedy last week.
Lets keep them in our thoughts and prayers
during this season of celebration.

Studio time.

Well the work space is finally cleaned for the fall.
It was a mess.
Now maybe I will get busy creating something.
I already cut out a baby girl quilt yesterday.
Now to put it together.
I am so glad I found the Kola cabinet on Craig's list.
For $300 it was a steal.
Makes sewing a dream.
