Sunflower Saturday

 Its a rainy Saturday.
A nice day to relax.
I am working on a new art quilt.
A giant white Daisy.
On a snow dyed background.
So far this is the biggest flower I have done.
Time to get going on making quilts
instead of talking about them.
My life has gotten in the way of creating.
That is about to end.
Creative self needs to take over.

Sunflower

Monday I started this small sunflower quilt.
The vibrant Kaffee fabrics makes it rock.
This is just one of a series of 35 I need to make.
Something new for me using bright colors.
I have 2 more days to do nothing but play in the studio.
Have a great Tuesday.
I am off to the studio at 8 am.

Sunset on Sunday

I have been bad about blogging lately.
I decided to give my studio a good cleaning.
I started with the wet studio.
Totally cleaned out and floor repainted.
Now this week on to the sewing space.
My helper and I am washing and ironing all
of the fabric in the house. Should be done by the
end of January. Too much fabric.
Everyone keeps asking if I am having a
Christmas open house.
Only if I get the studio in shape again.
Amazing how knee surgery stops a person in
their tracks. 3 months of no picking up and cleaning
makes for some very deep plies.
But I will conquer it.
I just had to visit this bright sunflower quilt again.
It is dreary outside and I needed some cheer.
This week is our art league's Holiday show.
A chance to clear out some of the overflow.

Will be glad to have a clean studio to start some
new projects.

Sunflower

The beginning of my newest project.
A sunflower quilt.
I have some blue snow dyed fabric for background.
I am liking how it is going.
Need some tweaking yet  but almost there.
I may have to make a larger on though.
I just heard that a client might be interested in
my work for a new restaurant that is opening in June.
Need to make contact.
It does take time to make these pieces of art.
Life can be interesting.
