Sunday morning sharing.

Some of my landscape mini quilts.

They match the landscape outside my window.

My studio have been interrupted with a visitor.

 They also match the mood inside our house.

 I do like this fabric
it is such  good as a starting point.
I can get inspired by so little.
I love when my mind is engaged .
Creating things makes me happy.

My 47 year old son moved in unexpectedly Monday night..
So I am out of my sewing studio for a while.

Hopefully  it won't be long.
I have switched to working with collages.
I need to do 12 or 15 of them anyway.
I can do them  anywhere in the house.

Homework

I am in pottery class every Friday afternoon.

Than there is 1 to 2 days of homework.

This is my large sgraffito sculpture.

Viewing a photo I can see ways to improve.

 I am doing a series of figure inspired sculptures.
This one hopefully will  have a dark
clay head & shoulders  raising out of the center.

 This is a free form figure.

 Than I have to throw on the potters wheel
one morning a week. Slowly getting better.
Two out of four are keepers.
Last week only one out of five were keepers.

Saugatuck, Michigan

Last night I got to thinking about

some of the vacations I took.

One of my favorite places is Saugatuck.

Lake Michigan.

Dunes.

 Art, galleries, and more galleries.
Great restaurant's.
Wickwood Inn with Julia Russo.
Peters Gallery.

 Sculptures inside and outside this town.
There is a sculpture walk.
The public restroom is a work of art.
A great place to spend a few days.

ITS COMING.

Summer.

 Pink Flowers.

 
Green Grass.
Snowballs that are not cold.

 
Sunny yellow flowers.

Wordless Wednesday

The family goes to town.

Last winter we went to West Lafayette to do the gallery walk in January.

It was 10 degrees but sunny  and no wind.

In the old downtown there is this sculpture by

Linda Van Kolk.

It is fascinating to look close to see all the parts.

What you can do with a welder
and lots of old machinery parts from the farm.
