More relaxing at the Chairs show.

 This lovely chair art quilt will go home with my daughter.

She loved the colors. I always give her first pick

of quilts she likes so some of them will stay in the family.

 A little snow bird hiding in the corner.

 Old trucks and old cars fascinate me.

The opening reception is August 21st at the TAF

gallery. Come and see us. Never enough art in our lives.

Finally the Chairs show is up.

 Yesterday I did the finishing touches on the show

and met with the reporter from the news paper.

One of the focal chairs with a orange Fassett fabric

crazy quilt pillows looking fresh against

 the white wicker.

 Chairs need pillows so I made a set of red K. Fassett

pillows in reds and paired them with some red chairs.

 This fall painting  started the north woods section.

Boats, old rusty pick ups and birds.

This old chair from my grandfathers chicken coop

looks good dressed with a Ralph Lauren print.

 Some more of the fabulous K Fassett  but this

time in Blue. In the center of the pillows  is a

peacock print Wanda Hansen gave me.

Sharing the space are some cone flowers on fabric.

In the coming week I will share more of Chairs.

Summer is rushing by.

 Monday I spent 5 hours setting up the Chairs show.

It does look nice.

I will be going back Saturday to do some clean up

and I will take photos for you. 

 The flowers are just lovely now.

As long as I remember to water them.

August is always the hardest time to keep up with

the watering.Too hot out there.

I unpacked my gear and picked out the fabric for

the Black and Gold quilt for my grandsons

graduation gift. In December he will be an RN

An emergency room nurse.

He already is a EMT and worked all summer

in the emergency room and week ends on the ambulance.

Purdue colors are black and gold.

Now to pre wash all fabrics and start cutting.

Wanda Hansen made a beautiful quilt top of 

batiks that she let me buy to finish for my son.

He will have a pet scan Friday and then meet

with the surgeon next  Thursday to plan his

surgery and course of treatment.

I hope to finish the quilt by next week end.

Using up the leftovers.

 Yesterday I used up all the pieces I had left from

from making flowers for the FibR show.

Four little art quilts

 Everything is now priced and tagged.

Ready to go. We carried everything upstairs

so it is ready to load on Sunday afternoon.

 It feels good to be ready.

 I will be glad when it is all set up.

Well I am off to the studio to make something

MORE.

Never enough.

Hot and muggy

Just remember today when it reaches 90 degrees

that winter is coming again.

Go find a beach and relax in the warmth.

Chill out.

Enjoy the heat while you can.

 Or find a shady tree and sit under its branches.

Live for the moment.

Enjoy life.

This day will not happen again.

 Love my day lilies.

They brighten the summer days.

Too bad the mosquito's are so bad.

I have to shot and run.

 I have one more painting to do and then I 

think I will take a couple of weeks off.

I love sunflowers so this should be fun.

Off to the studio.

Painting the dunes.

 I have 5 finished paintings so far.

I haven"t painted for over a year.

A little rusty.

 The water scenes are fine but

 the crane pic is not so fine.

 Water is like snow in painting.

You can make it look good easily.

But when it comes to trees I do not have the patience.

Two more to finish and than next week I will make

labels for the show and make sure everything

has a means of hanging.
