The Journey has ended

With great joy I let you know that our son Mark
has shed his painful body and has gone to join other
family loved ones in Gods arms.
He was surrounded by loving family members
who grieved together but with grace and peace
supporting each other.

Small quilt exchange.

Each year our group of Internet quilter friends
do an exchange of quilts.
I ordered this 1 yard piece from Spoon Flower.
A wonderful abstract piece.
I proceeded to make 6 little quilts.
 It was a fun project.
I called my series Under the Sea.
Each section of the yard yielded a unique quilt.
The photos are not the clearest.
Later I will show you the last quilt.
My SAQA Auction quilt.

Winter wonderland

Finally some snow to make it look like winter,
It covers all the brown and makes a fresh day.
It will be 50 by Friday so it won't last long.
We will enjoy it while we can.
I think this virus is finally going away.
Slowly.
Today is day 12.
It may be cold outside but inside it is
warm and cheerful. I still have my Christmas
decorations up. Maybe this week I will finally
put them away. I will leave the red flowers out
for awhile though.

Wow fabric.

Look at this lovely vibrant abstract fabric.
This is what I used to create my 6  small quilts.
I will mail them off today.
Maybe by next Wednesday I can show you
the results.
I had a blast making abstract quilts.
Under the sea is the name of the series.
I got the fabric on spoonflower.

Peace for the Journey

Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers
as we support our son in his journey home.
The doctors informed us this week there is nothing
more to do but surround him with family and
keep him comfortable as possible.
Time have been trying since August when he was
diagnosed with cancer.
Such a short time,
God is good and he will hold us in his arms for
the final journey.

WInter

Thought I would share a couple of photos of winter.
We have only had 3 snow falls this winter so fall.
So I went to the past to get a feel of winter.
I love cold winter nights so I can snuggle in layers
of winter blankets and sleep later.
Sipping hot chocolate curled up in a chair and
reading a good book.
Cooking up a pot of soup and a apple pie for
supper and filling the house with good smells.
Relaxing with my husband in the evening.
Winter is a time to slow down and enjoy life.

Purple Trumpets of Glory

My morning Glory quilt is accepted into the
Marie Webster show in Indianapolis.
It will hang in the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
I was happy to get the notification today.
I am looking forward to seeing how every one
interpreted her quilts. It is always interesting to
see the creativity of other artist.
Below is my inspiration for the quilt.
These Morning Glories come back each summer
in my gardens. I love the purple color.
