Nine Squares

The beginning of a new work.

I took 9- 12 inch square canvases.

Applied brown & magenta background.

Layered burnt sienna, ocher, barn red and turquoise over.

With a palette knife.

Added the start of trees.

Monday I will see where this takes me.

                         Have a blessed Easter week end.

Collage for a day

Spent Wednesday with the paper scraps.

Today I will paint in the morning.

Clean the last of the flower beds this afternoon.

Then it will rain for another week.

What a spring.

Can you tell I like trees, birds and the outdoors.

I really like the last one with the yellows.

Must remind me of the sun we don't get to see much of.

Hope springs eternal.

Somewhere out there in the cold rainy day

there is a garden waiting to happen.

Just maybe not this year.

Impulsive Decision

Worked in the yard all day yesterday.

90% done another 2 days should  do it.

Finally opened my E-mail late afternoon .

And there was an invite to a pastel retreat in Brown County.

In October the height of the color leaf season.

Only 10 people.

I was 4th to call.

I am relaxing just think of 5 days with other artist.

Time out for Spring

The smell is luscious.

Hopefully it makes me forget I  have to buy a car today.

A  job I hate worse than anything.

Hopefully this one will last me the rest of my driving life.
