Summer at Cedar Ridge

I love it when the water lilies start to bloom.

Reminds one of a Monet painting.

I live is such a special place.

Every Day is like a work of art.

Maybe that's why it is so easy to get inspired. 

                             Than we get to sunset and the colors abound.
                             This night was especially awesome.

                                That last half hour of sunset is golden.

                                Reflections an the big pond beg to be a quilt.

                                       Have a great week end.

                                       God has give us a beautiful earth.

Finally recovered my blog.

Switched to another computer and there it was.

Thank goodness.

 I was not looking forward to reloading all those posts.

It has been a busy spring and the pace continues.

My new project is a 4 ft by 6 ft art quilt.

It will be the state of Indiana.

Showing the rivers and points of interest.

This will be my entry for the

 Jasper County Art League's show

Hoosier Rivers and Roads.

 I will hang the show on the 20th of June.

I will be posting as I go.

Today though I finish clearing my old studio out.

The furnace room can be a home for the potters wheel.

I will spend my creative time looking out at my fabulous yard.

A mini show of new paintings my friend Doris painted this year.

She will be 90 this November.

Like a good wine better with age.

These will be in our show at TAF in June.

A new week at Cedar Ridge Studio.

The start of a sunny day at the Ridge.

We really enjoy our fish pond.

This huge garden is what keeps my husband busy all summer.

He grows melons, corn, asparagus, 99 tomato plants

Butternut squash, cucumbers, spinach, peppers.

The neighbors treat us really good.

They know August is coming with a surplus of good food.

                   This is the other half of his farm (garden).

 After 4 years finally a colony of Purple martins.
Watch out mosquito's.

This lonely crow looks for food for the nest.

All the mamma's are busy sitting the eggs.

Soon they will all gather on the bench by the pond

to while away the lazy summer days.

Worth the Work.

I am much more organized now.

A sewing space, a painting space

and a collage  and paper space.

 I finally have a idea wall with
lots of art from friends and fellow artist.

Cabinets to store supplies.
The rolling cart holds paper supplies.
A nice tall ironing space.

 A design wall to try out ideas.

 I wonder how long it will stay this clean.
Probably 2 weeks at the most.

 I love the U shape work area.
Cutting table, sewing  L shape space.
A double table to spread out on.
Perfect.

 This is the view I missed tucked away in the furnace room.
My window on my world. I will keep this as my studio space.
The furnace room will be the potters space.

Another day in the yard than I can create again.

Cleaning the studio today.

Do you think it needs it? LOL

I crashed after the opening last week-end.

Need to regain some sense of order.

That is this mornings job.

 When it gets too messy I cannot create.
I got a new rectangular iron board cover.
I will have the hubby cut a board  to fit
the top of my current iron board and complete it.
Looking forward to creating again.
