The view from the Kitchen window

Spent some time adding stitching today.
Sunrise  is ready for some detail and some borders.
I think it needs some colorful borders to liven it up.
Taking photos helps me see where I need changes.
Finally got in gear.
Getting snowed is is good.

Sunrise is coming together.

 Productive afternoon.
Must be the snow.
I got the paint on and ready to stitch.
Below is my inspiration photo.

Sunrise art quilt.

After a cortisone shot to my shoulder Tuesday I am finally
able to start working in the studio again.
I have been dealing with extreme pain since December 1st.
I can finally get my arm behind my
 behind my back without cringing.
Started on my sky series yesterday.
The first will be a sunrise.
This is my view out my kitchen window.
I will paint in the clouds today and hopefully
get started on the free motion quilting.
Supposed to get  snow today for  only the second
time this winter. Terri started  a pool on the amount
of snow we are to get . I got  2.75.
I will let you know how close I come.
Prize is a snow shovel.

Where is winter?

I had all these photos I wanted to take this winter
on  my bucket list. They all required snow.
Where is it?
This may be a record breaker year.
My time is being spent with rehab and doctors.
My right shoulder and arm do not cooperate.
I go to the specialist Tuesday to find out what is wrong.
Sorry if I don't blog as regular but I will do my best.
I am getting cranky about not creating enough.
Ah! such is life.
These are of a tree in my yard.
Love that bark.

Blue skies nothing but blue skies.

Friday my husband and I went to a concert at the Bluegate.
We left early enough to visit the fabric stores
before the show.
My mission was blue skies.
I found 6 nice sky prints.
Just could not stop at blue though.
One nice snowy field print.
And some good tree and bush fabrics.
Can you tell I thinking landscape quilts.
I really like the multi color batik
I think it will liven up some of the quilts.
I just love batiks.
I also got camouflage fleece and deer print fleece
to make my future great grandson a blanket.
Now I think it is about time to get serious and create.
I did spend some more time beading the circles today.
