I thought I would show you my final project
from my week long Nancy Crow workshop.
It is just pinned to the wall.
The work load of this workshop was intense.
I got it cut out and pinned to my wall
but had no time to sew it.
So it came home with me to be finished
when I go back to the studio after Christmas.
I was so tired I slept 9 hours last night.
Plus took a nap after lunch.
I was really impressed by the work of my
fellow students.
Some very talented art quilters.
I have come to the realization that a 5 day
workshop is too much for me with my
health issues. In the future I will limit myself to
1 to 3 day workshop.
I did have trouble driving myself home
I had to stop every 20 to 30 minutes to
keep awake. BUT the important thing is
I did make it there and back
and survived the week with Nancy.
That woman has the energy of 3 women.
I learned a lot of craft that will make
me a better art quilter in the long run.
I look forward to January through
the 1st of May when I get the most done in the studio.
I took a 5 day workshop from her in 1992 at Paducah at the museum. I agree 5 days is almost too much. She doesn't give you any time to catch up because you always have to be going on to the next assignment. I did a 2 1/2 day workshop with her in 1985 and that was nice.
