The Road Home finds a home.

Spent the morning decorating for Christmas.
Making my space look good for the open house.
I think climbing on a chair to do the 10 foot window
might become a task  I should not do anymore.
It looks great with evergreens and lots of birds.
My daughter stopped over to pick out her
anniversary gift.
She choose wisely by taking the large art quilt
The Road Home.
Four weeks of work and I am glad it will be
where I can enjoy it for many more years to come.
I had gotten attached to it.
I wanted the kids to pick a piece of art before the show.
After all we should share our best with our children.
Have a great week-end.

Changing ones life.

The winds and the storms blew the leaves off the trees.
I am not quit ready for winter but I know it will
bring TIME.
Time to explore the wonderful world of fiber art.
As Maya Angelou said
"Success is loving life and daring to live it."
I have decided to focus for once in my life.
THat is itself will be a challenge.
Starting in January I will concentrate my efforts
in a mixed media of fiber art.
I will give to the local High School
all the materials I do not need and
Simplify
Explore,
Create.
With nature as always my love
I will interpret  my love of same into art.
Stay  tuned.

Quiet Sunday Time

I found this small art quilt while sorting my studio.
It is of silk and made to practice zig-zag binding.
I love the luster's of silk and will be
working in silk this week.
Today will be a time of rest and reflection.
This week kicks off the busy Holiday show season.
Ready set and get busy
just not today.
Enjoy your week end
