Three panel quilt going to Chicago.

I got notification yesterday that this quilt and the
Wolf River quilt are accepted into the Midwest Marvels
show at the International Quilt Show in Chicago.
I was one of 29 entries accepted.
I am amazed.
I will also be doing 2 segments of Open Studios.
Just sitting there for 2 hours and do what I love.
While the audience watches and ask questions.
I am doing Photos on Fabric and
Paint and Stitch mixed up in a quilt.
Hopefully I do well. I am an introvert after all.
I decided I needed some flowers for Valentines.
So I reached back into my photo archives and
found these beauties. My daughter sent me  these
one of the times I was sick.I think this is the loveliest
bunch of flowers ever.
Have a great week end.

Farmhouse Restaurant Art

Here are 5 of the 7 pieces of Michel Keck's art
from the Farmhouse Restaurant in Fair Oaks, Indiana.
She is quite talented.
I love the industrial  collages she puts together.
You can see bits of Americana in them.
Door knobs, cogs, paper and metal mesh.
Clever.

Her abstract paintings are so cool.
I hope you enjoy a little art show.
If you are in the neighborhood anytime
till the end of March stop in a see.
They are open 11 am to 9 pm, closed Mondays.

Shoreline

Friday Afternoon's Art.
I hung the new show at the Farmhouse Restaurant
on Fair Oaks, In and I had the afternoon free.
So.
I found this photo printed fabric in the UFO drawer.
I spent an hour or two stitching this little piece
of summer. This is a photograph off the dock at
my cousins lake house in Battle Lake Minnesota.
A pleasant end to the week.
Looking forward to summer even more.

I love sunsets.

Life is good.
I have spent a quiet weekend just relaxing.
My husband took me out for brunch this morning
to the Strongbow Inn in Valparaiso, In.
They are noted for their turkey dinners.
Brunch has everything though.
Cold boiled  shrimp, a whole cold salmon to
pick meat off of, roast turkey, mashed potatoes,
biscuits and gravy, omelets, bacon, sausage and
too much to mention.
Also an awesome dessert table- fresh cherry pie.
That was my choice.
We are in a food coma. It is nice not to cook.
Just enjoy the food and they do the clean up.
