Shopping for college

Yesterday I took Hunter the redhead on the left
shopping for odds and ends for his Freshman
year at Purdue. Target had it all.
We filled a cart and had some fun.
We talked all the way there and back.
It is neat to hear how mature he is.
Thinking and planning for when he finishes
school. Definite goals in mind.
By the way he is going to do 4 years in 3.

On the mend

Tuesday I took a hard fall on my left side.
Stepped off pavement onto gravel.
slide on my elbow and slammed on my side.
Super ouch.
After 2 trips to urgent care nothing is broken
but the ER Doc said it was like being hit
by a car. Today is the first day I can take
a deep breath.
I can't seem to get any time in the studio.
I am about to hide in the studio
and try to get something accomplished.
That is when I quit hurting.

Summer garden

Someday I will do these 3 photos into a quilt.
I hope we have a snowy winter so I can create.
I do my best when snowed in.
Free to work long hours.
Ignoring everyone.

fabric manipulation.

Delicate

Don't you love the sheerness of this window curtain?

Almost like these lilies.
They smell like fruit trees blooming and honey.
I took a walk in the garden this morning.
Its so cool and beautiful this morning.
This afternoon Bonnie and Doris are having
a reception for their  new show.
Looking forward to seeing their art.
Always a thing of beauty.

Happy Holiday

I hope you had a great 4th.

with a trip out for dinner.
After 5 nights of fireworks I hope they are done.
Ready to go to the new studio to create.

The view out my windows.

My windows are a delight.
I plant flowers and objects that are pleasant to look at.

Sculptures and blue balls and red plants.

I love the dragonfly perched on top of
Steely Girls rusty torch.
What a blessed way to work.

The Gallery part of the Studio

This is where I display my completed quilts.
They store better hanging up.

The new vinyl floor looks great.

The 5 panel" River running Through" has a place finally

Plus there is a comfortable place to sit
or for Owen to watch cartoons while I work.
