Saw this painting on face book. and the photo that
inspired it.
It look so craftsman.
Love the colors too.
This should be a art quilt.
So I found a photo I love and will take time to
make it a art quilt in this style after the holidays.
Had a good opening night at the Holiday Show.
I sold several art quilts and collages
Plus I got a commission.
I love the family and it will be fun to
make them something SPECIAL.
Busy day again.
Feed the construction crew.
Get the Christmas decoration out.
Than at 3 pm take down my show.
I have recruited my granddaughter Jenna to help.

Colors of dawn

I made this quilt card and it reminded me of a
painting I saw on my friend Kathy's site.
I love the colors of sunrise.
Life is so busy we need to take time to savor
the world around us.
That said I have a busy day ahead.
The holiday show is tonight but
first Brad is coming to clean up the yard
after the big blow last week.
All the corn shucks from the field are packed
around our house. What a mess.
I have a big list for him to so today.
Have a great day.

A perfect Christmas gift is the gift of art.
I will be busy getting ready for my 5th annual open house.
I love it when my friends and neighbors come
just to look and see what I am doing
in my studio.
They will start off with
I always wondered what this studio thing is.
You do all this.
No wonder we never see you out and about.
Fun time to visit and renew friendships.

A fish out of water,

I told you I would show you the clay fish I found in
the Lafayette Art Museum, aren't they lovely.
I have been on a mission to add to my art collection this
year. These will look great hanging amongst my paintings.
This artist got the colors and shapes just right.
I need to quit buying now because there is only so
much wall space in my home.
Today I bring some of my art to the gallery in Rensselaer
to set up for a show Friday nite and Saturday.
The best part is that my art is now priced and
ready for the Holiday show I have at home.
Now to clean up my studio a little - not
a lot because I will still be working during
the open house to show folks how I do it.
Have a great day.
