Fall is coming

Fall will be here before we know it.
I noticed some sumac changing color already.
I am wanting to start creating again.
Maybe next week I will find some energy.
I did not expect a knee replacement to be so
consuming a recovery.
Here are some of my favorite fall art quilts.
My mind is busy thinking of what to do first.
I read my proposal for the show we have in November
and December. I had proposed making clay birds
for the wall, paintings and some sculptures of
bird nest. Besides the big quilt.
I think I need to get busy next week.
Today we canned 8 pints of stewed tomato's
and 3 quarts of pasta sauce. Too soon to do
this type of work.

Machine Quilting Unlimited September-October issue.

I received my advanced issue of Machine Quilting Unlimited
in the mail today. It was a nice surprise.
I am honored to be in a magazine with so many talented
people. I love this magazine. It always has something
I need to know. Facts and information that make me
a better quilter. I explain my process in making my
big honking quilt in my article.
Today I also got the last of my staples out.
3 weeks post op and I am ready to be done with
all of this medical stuff.
I tried to do some studio work Monday and lasted
a whole 30 minutes. I am definitely not ready to
work yet.
Looks like I will have to wait until 2016 to enter the
Quilt Nationals.  Must not be my time.
I should keep working on this current quilt and
maybe it will be done by 2016.

Summer flowers

I had a nice peaceful week end,
finally a day with no fever I may have conquered
the infection. I plan to go down to the studio this
morning and do some creating.
Three weeks post op and finally getting back to
NORMAL.
The gardens are a riot of yellow.
No matter if it is gloomy  there is sunshine in the flowers.
I read some good books the past 3 weeks.
I even read some of my quilting books.
Life is good.
Have a great day.
