Herons

The birds are finished and the last 4 panels just need to
be squared and backing and sleeves put on.
I will be done with this project.
We hung it in the gallery and took some photos
for the magazine article that will appear in the
September issue of Machine Quilted Unlimited.
Than I will make a blue peaceful wall piece for
a friend, start an entry for Quilt Nationals .
The last week before surgery I will clean the studio.
I am already thinking how I can make my studio
work better, Oh I forgot to tell you that I got
my George this week. My son Mark set it
up but I haven't had time to play with it yet.
Maybe next week.

I finally got the four panels done.
Finished by 5 pm today.
Now just to put the back and sleeves on them.
Than I can move on to some fun things,
Like a 4  quilt swap with Tommy Fitzsimmons
and 2 of her friends.  I look forward to doing something
fun. I need to make my friend a wall piece
for her modern living room and also need
to make a piece for Quilt Nationals.
We are doing fathers day this Sunday
because Craig is coming to town.
I am making apple pies for dessert.
Craig and Brads favorite.
Grandsons.
Friday I go to Lafayette to hang the big
quilt in the gallery it will show in in October
so I can send a recent photo to the magazine
Machine Quilting Unlimited for the
article that will  be in  the magazine.
Busy. Happy to be busy.

Falling Leaves

Worked on leaves on the big quilt.
This is what the floor looks like after a leaf session.
I love how the sumac is turning out.
Like how the bright reds liven up the quilt.
Nothing like a spot of red.
Busy day cooking yesterday.
I am making meals ahead so after my knee
replacement I have food ready just to heat up.
6 weeks to go. Dreading this whole thing.
