Autumn

 I love autumn.
The sedums turn purple.
The early morning dew in fall hangs on the pines.
What's not to like
I have made 8 pairs of art quilt hot pads so far
for Christmas stockings. These are pretty bright.
Last but not the least I am being represented by
the Button-Petter Gallery in Saugatuck, Michigan.
They have 4 of my art quilts for sale.
We went to Saugatuck for a 3 day get away and
to talk to the gallery about my work.
I had only intended to leave 2 for sale but
ended up leaving 2 of my favorites also.
I am already missing them.
Will be interesting to see if some of them
sell . I have trouble keeping up with demand.

Colorful fall

Even though the season is winding down there is
still plenty of color to see. Our dogwood tree is
covered with these red seed pods. They will all fall to
the ground for the critters to eat them.
The begonias have bloomed hard all summer and
I think they will go till frost. I am thinking of
taking some inside for the winter to brighten the
sun room. The golden rod around the pond is
cherry. Lots to enjoy yet this fall.

more about SAQA and live close feel free to

so I can plan food. When there is an event at my
house people seem to come out of the woodwork,
( one Christmas open house all the 70 to 85 year olds

we ever had I still remember them old guys visiting
with all of the ladies. Such a memory. )

Watercolors and Collages

I have been so mellow this fall.
I was going through some of my past works
and picked these to share with you.
3 years later and I am still playing with the
trees, fall, leaves and birds.
All of these found good homes and I hope they
enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.
I should make some more of the collages.
They were fun.
So much I want to do but not enough time.
I am going to have a studio open house with
SAQA members from Indiana.
Either the 26th of October or the 16th of
November. If you are a quilt artist in the NW
Indiana area give me a message I would
like to share SAQA with you - it will
be a fun day. Just find me on Face book
and PM me if you want to come.
