Christmas Decorating

 Ti's the season to decorate.
I am ready for Christmas the décor is up and
everything looks so cheerful. I really love my Audubon
wood duck print. I got this at an auction for $5.
What a deal. I have 4 antique Audubon prints in
the great room. I love my birds. I like amaryllis
too. I brought my first one in this week.
Hopefully it will bloom.
We had the leftovers from Thanksgiving for
dinner tonight. I think I enjoyed it more.
I will finish the new quilt Tomorrow.
Than I have 2 commission quilts to do.
Always busy.

Full

 We had a beautiful Thanksgiving.
Clear skies- sunshine and too much food.
Everyone in my family are great cooks.
The counter was full of every ones favorites.
Plenty of leftovers to share too.
The sunset was nice for a cold day.
Now the emphasis's on Christmas.
Time to kick back and read a little than early to bed.
Woke up at 2 am. The joys of being an older woman.

Thanksgiving Eve

I did not get much done in the studio today
but I did a lot of socializing.
My daughter stopped in at 8 am and talked
for an hour. It was a pleasure to sit and visit.
Than I did a quick pick up of the house,
a load of laundry and some computer time.
Tomorrow will be spent cooking pies and
the green bean casserole.  than eating the
Thanksgiving meal more visiting and than
a nap. Just the average Thanksgiving.
Hope to finish the new quilt Friday.
Have a great turkey day.

Art Quilt and a puzzle

Well I did not spend all day on the puzzle
only 2 hours. They are very addictive to me.
I spent the afternoon wworki9ng on the new art quilt.
I am liking this one it is very mellow.
Today will be a short day in the studio I
have my weekly massage on Tuesday afternoons.
I have been doing massage therapy since 1991
and it has helped tremendously with my spine.
Better than back surgery.
I have all the ingredients set out for what I
need to cook for Thanksgiving, Pumpkin pie,
Apple Pie and a triple batch of  Green bean casserole.
My grandsons favorite.
You can see the progress I made since Sunday with
my Gininne's bird puzzle. I love her stylized birds.
I just have the background to do.
Well I am off to the studio early.

Grain Elevator

I can see this photo turned into a abstract
art quilt. Love the shapes of the building.
Another idea for this winters work.
We are supposed to get snow this week.
That is why I was looking for a sunshine
photo need to think of blue skies.
This week the only thing on my schedule is
my weekly massage and Thanksgiving.
Should leave plenty of time for creating.
I had a good day Saturday sold a few things
and donated the money for the food boxes
our church is giving out for Thanksgiving
to families in need. Feels good to share
my talents with others less fortunate.
Well I am off to the studio. Chao

Quiet Sunday

 I spent a quiet Sunday.
church, a nice lunch of lamb chops,
a nap than down to work on the puzzle for 2 hours,
I went to visit my friend Doris she is 92 today
I brought her a small art quilt plus some cranberry
tablets. She has had several bouts of urinary track
infections. So what a birthday gift cranberries in
a tablet to help keep those kidneys clean.
We would like to keep her with us a few more
years. She is such a treasure.
Well off to read myself asleep.
