Fabric

You know she is a true friend when she brings you
back fabric from her vacation to California.
What a pleasant surprise when Claudia showed
up with a surprise for me. I love the bright colors.
Love love the blue with green leaves.
Some fun in the future for me.
Finally this morning we wake up to a sunny day.
A good way to start the weekend.
I have a busy day planned.
First a furniture sale,
Then getting a new head shot taken,
then finishing up the border on the fund
raiser quilt.  A good day.
Well I am  off and running.
Have yourself a great day.

Chesterton Art Center's quilt

I got busy yesterday afternoon and worked on
finishing the quilt for the fund raiser.
Made another row of blocks and now to decide
on the borders. I  will finish it up today and
mail it off to the Cotton Corner Quilt shop
in Shipsewanna Indiana.
They will quilt it and bind it for me.
I can then get back to working on the big
quilt. Today is the opening of the show in Lafayette
Indiana. I am looking forward to seeing all the
art hung. It is going to be s great show.
I will try to remember my camera.
Well off to the studio.

Next in line.

Now that the magazine article is off to the publisher
I need to concentrate on the next project in line. I
really need to finish this bed quilt which is for a fund
raiser for the Chesterton Art Center. Than I need to get
back to the big quilt and work on panel # 5.
There is always something to do here at  Cedar
Ridge Studio. I found some photos of the
SAQA studio tour last fall. My studio looked great.
I think maybe  it needs a big clean-up.
I know it does. That will be the next project
when I finish the 5 panels.
Well off to the studio to find what I need
to finish the bed quilt.

Original Sketch for the big quilt.

I don't know if I ever showed you my original sketch for
the big quilt. I diverged quite a bit. Its the thought
that counts. The antibiotics must be working,
I am starting to feel civil again.
I hope to go to the show Friday night.
This week is the FibR groups International show
in Lafayette at the Wells center on 6th and North.
Friday the 16th is a gallery walk night.
6pm to 9pm
Come by is you have a chance.
It will be awesome. My fellow artist were very
CREATIVE.
I finished my article for Machine Quilting Unlimited
and E-mailed it off. I didn't realized how far I come
on the finished project. I need to finish this one up.
I have decided to finally get my knees replaced.
Right one maybe end of July.
Ouch. but necessary.

Progress.

I did make some progress this week despite a
recurrence of diverticulitis. I just kept plugging
away. Using a tweezers I placed a lot of leaves
on the trees this week. I need to take some
more photos for the article that is due Wednesday.
I can finally see the end in sight.
Looking more and more like a fall day.
All you mothers out there have a happy day.
