Dear Mary Ann, What a lovely quilt, and what a lovely blog! My husband has been making tomato butter, tomato chutney, and oven-drying the rest of our tomato crop. We ate our first "Burpee's Ambrosia" cantaloupe today, and the green beans will hit any minute. We garden intensively in raised beds in about 20'x 30', plus a tree strip of plums, avocados, figs, and pineapple guavas (we're in San Diego). It's just amazing how productive even a small yard can be--I can't understand why everyone doesn't garden! Keep up the good work, Linda Laird Quiltart reader quiltlady@san.rr.com
